An overwhelming immersive experience: a musical performance dedicated to the victims of a chaotic world.
In this performance, which won the 2020 Setagaya Arts Award in the music category, Shinji Hirabaru, the representative, took charge of direction and composition. Held in a private, undisclosed Sogetsu-style atelier in Tokyo, the event aimed to “offer flowers to those who fell victim to the chaos of the world.” The atmosphere of the atelier, usually filled with floral materials, permeated the space, with a stage illuminated by carefully placed lighting at its center, surrounded by the audience. Over the course of 90 minutes, the awe-inspiring performance captivated the entire venue, eliciting cheers and excitement from the audience.
“The music, lighting, sound, space, and concept were all beautifully executed, and it moved me to tears.”
“The dynamic interplay between ikebana and musical performance was astonishing, a continuous display of surprise and brilliance. Thank you for a wonderful night. I received a boost of energy.”
“I hope this performance can be shared with the world.” These were just a few of the many positive comments we received.
